Michelle Sudduth is a composer and songwriter, classically-trained pianist, music educator and performer. Her music education began at a young age on the piano and continued throughout her childhood in Colorado. Her musical pursuits led her to Belmont University in Nashville, remaining there after completing her Bachelor’s degree to make a record and work as a touring performer for Big Idea, Inc.

She then moved to Vancouver, BC to work as a music director and complete a four year Master’s degree on the campus of the University of British Columbia. Upon leaving Canada for her current home in Los Angeles, she soon found work as a pianist/keyboardist and music instructor.

Michelle began working in film as a producer’s assistant, familiarizing herself with all aspects of filmmaking both on and off set for a handful of films, such as “American Wrestler: The Wizard” (AppleTV). She also was the associate producer for the film, “The Desiring” (AppleTV).

Michelle credits UCLA’s Film Scoring program with equipping her with the necessary technical skills and has since enjoyed composing for films both feature length and short. She was happy to work on the live scoring sessions as a booth reader for ANIMANIACS, Season 3 (Hulu/WarnerBros Eastwood Scoring Stage). Most recently, she was thrilled to be the Scoring Session Producer for Vancouver International Film Festival’s Composer-Filmmaker Accelerator Program. Besides film, Michelle has found work composing for mediums such as audio dramas and modern dance. She is currently a member of MTV/Paramount+ inaugural FTC cohort, a year long composer development initiative. Michelle also continues to write and co-write songs, always remembering how much joy it is to engage her lyrical muse.

When Michelle is not at her piano or in her studio, she enjoys the natural beauty of Southern California, yoga, plant-based cooking, and going to as many music and film events as possible.
